Sheny and Kerry love this little slice of heaven and as soon as one arrives on site, there is a big sigh and relaxation begins immediately! It is truly the summer vacation spot!
As avid SUP paddlers, Sheny and Kerry find this a great spot to paddle up the nearby river for some whitewater slides, or deep river pools for a swim and enjoy all of the birds and sea life. This area is often calm for paddling and when the wind picks up can be fun for downwinders and surfing the waves. Riley is our beloved Boxer dog and he loves the beaches and the local off leash spots!
At the Surfside Resort, there is a pool and hot tub available to all members and guests! There are adult only and family swim times so check the schedule! There is always swimming at the beach! There are tennis courts and other sports gear such as pickle ball, bocci or badminton!
Lazy Days Parksville is in a unique RV spot right in front of the EAGLE TREE which boasts eagles perching atop or taking a lunch break on the nearby limb. This is a tree home to eagles and many other birds! The estuary is right in front and at high tide you can paddle right out to the ocean.
There is a nature park beside where there are trails to hike, bike or take the kids and dog for a walk.
With Rathtrevor Beach a 5 minute drive down the street or a 15 minute paddle there is much to explore on land and in the ocean.
The main Parksville Community Beach where there is live music in the evenings of July, only a 5 minute walk away! Also there is a children's water park, beach volleyball courts, and the beaches to explore or take the dog on the boardwalk for a sunset walk!
On the main drag of Parksville there are many coffee shops, artisan shops and restaurants to explore and enjoy!
This Parksville / Qualicum Beach area is a vacation mecca!
